Located in the heart of Tauranga City, the Otumoetai Golf Club is both a public course and a private club, established by the city council on city land. It is a 9 - hole course with an 18 - hole layout(2405 plus 2317 second round) for those wanting to play the double course.

This is one course in Tauranga where visitors are virtually guaranteed the opportunity of a round of golf seven days a week. Visitors most welcome.

Established in 1911, the course offers an environment that can be challenging as it is beautiful. Although at 5,590 metres (men) it is not long by today's standards, the undulating terrain, established trees, native bush and subtle, sand based greens test the ability of golfers at every shot. A course that rewards good shots and penalises concentration lapses, Tauranga club has hosted numerous rewarding competitions, both professional and amateur.

The course has full green irrigation supplemented by the traveling fairway irrigators in the Summer months, and it's natural drainage offers year round play for the keen golfer, remaining open, when other courses in the area are closed.

The club has a lot to offer the visiting golfer through to the club member, with not only a great course, but modern facilities to round it all off.
